Take A Thought Shower And Get Growing

Sometimes we talk about brainstorming when we talk about masterminding. It's one of the foundational principles. Mindful mastermind groups involve cultivating the power of latent thought energy. To demonstrate the process, I've included a graphic of a 'thought shower'. Thoughts spontaneously emit showers of energy that contain the potential for transformation into any other form.

You can be a part of a mastermind group that truly mines these principles and builds your success at Global Online Groups.

How Deep Is A Thought? Science behind The Secret and Masterminding

An interesting question, yes? What happens to thoughts when you're finished with them? Does the old "out of sight - out of mind" axiom come into play? We tend to think that they just vanish into thin air; afterall, they're not tangible.

But in reality, thoughts are stored in neural pathways, both in our brains, AND in our bodies. Our body remembers. There is a kind of cellular memory. I was reminded of this recently when a friend sent me a link to a documentary he had watched. I first came upon this concept in grad school (psychology), and when I first heard it, I thought 'hogwash'. But the evidence is the research. At the time, we were discussing incidents of heart transplant recipients experiencing new traits, cravings, thoughts, feelings, etc... When researched, the trail for the new experiences ended at the organ donor.

I jokingly asked what that meant for people who got a pig's heart. We all laughed, but in seriousness, cell based memory is a real phenomenon. It's an accepted psychological principle, for instance, that a person's body can experience physical symptoms when they consciously or unconsciously think about a previous trauma.

We also don't experience thoughts as neutral stimuli, we have an emotive response. You may not recognize it because we tend to notice feelings that tilt us clearly in one direction or the other. Like a thermostat set on a particular temperature, we 'turn on' when the system registers outside of the range we've decided is comfortable. Our thoughts and feelings are recorded together, right along with any associated behavior. It's just that the imprint of strong feelings is somehow ... well, stronger. That's why we have a tendency to remember negative or unhappy moments more powerfully. From a survival standpoint you can see why this would make sense.

I don't want you to live in survival mode though. Without intentional action to override biology intended to keep you safe and alive, you'll stay in survival mode. The key to a happy, successful life is to THRIVE!

So how deep is a thought? All the way to forever, I'd say. Deep as deep goes into the very chemical cocktail that fuels our human bodies and as far as the furthest star. As deep as any feeling you've ever felt, and as real as anything you've ever done.

Think amazing, powerful, big thoughts and add incredible feelings to them. Do this in your imagination; and for fun, move your body in some happy motion at the same time knowing you're storing it all up. Think of it as good nutrition.

That is, of course, The Secret. How do you apply it to business masterminding? C'mon, you know how ... and I'd love to hear your ideas so leave a comment and let others know too.

Mastermind The Secret of Spring

Ok, yes, it's a play on words at a couple of levels, but I wanted to try and get your attention about this key foundation of The Secret. What is it that we love about Springtime? Isn't it the newness, the renewal, even the re-birth of what we see as life on earth? It's the birthing cycle for many animals, the awakening from winter sleep of the trees, grasses, and flowers. New smells, new beauty, new warmth greet us every day.

When springtime comes, we feel happy and hopeful as all this life literally pops out from kernels of seeming nothingness. It's a reminder of a new beginning, and that means opportunity to do, be, think, feel, and live the life of your dreams.

Use the momentum of springtime for the natural universal energy lift to fuel the changes you desire. As I write this on Easter morning, I think of the millions of families who've dyed brightly colored easter eggs, and made beautiful baskets tied up in rainbow ribbons with beds of green grass; easter bonnets, and laughter, good times, and get togethers. What are we celebrating on Easter? It think it is fair to say that we are celebrating that we live in newness of life every day, and for Christians, it is also remembrance of the reason.

If you live in the attitude and understanding that every day is a new day to re-make the life you live, that every day is a do-over because you have the power and the resources within you to choose your thoughts and feelings and actions, then gosh, isn't every day an incredible gift? More than that, an awesome adventure, a blessing, a precious, exciting, and lovely thing. Ahhh, springtime, makes you giddy doesn't it?

Need more boost? Watch The Secret To You visualization again (you'll find it a few blog posts below), then think about what we've talked about here and write down how you feel when the sun warms your face, and what the smell of fresh cut grass infuses you with ... you get the idea. I want you to bottle up all those concentrated fabulous feelings of spring with all the hope and optimism you feel. Add to that the extra energy exampled by the spring in your step, and then keep it in a handy place where you can pull it out and read it once a month for the rest of the year.

Woohooo! You've masterminded the secret of spring, only you did it with the universe. Now go celebrate YOU!

Mastermind Process: Facilitated or Peer Based? Making A Case For Facilitation

I highly recommend using a facilitator for your mastermind group. Why? Because YOU'RE WORTH IT! A smart business owner knows that their most valuable resource is their time. When you really, really understand this, you'll totally get the concept that's conveyed in the statement "You can't afford not to."

I often hear people, be it business owners or career professionals, say that they can't afford a facilitated group. Well, when you think you can't, then you're right - you can't.

The Secret Tip: Thoughts are things, and what you think - you create. If you believe in lack and scarcity, you will inevitably have more of it. So, think "I'm worth it and I can afford it", and your group will be even more energized to bring it to you.

Business owners have so very many other things to be doing that will make them effective and successful, that they don't need to be investing that time into preparing meetings, or preparing for facilitation.

Facilitation is a job, and a business, just like yours. It takes time, preparation, and a great deal of skill. It's not about calling a meeting to order and chatting. Teams often use facilitators. Every on-ground meeting, no matter how formal or informal, has one. There are very good reasons for this. In the case of masterminding, using a professional facilitator frees the team members to concentrate on the work at hand.

Have you ever been in a poorly led meeting? If you have, then you know how frustrating the experience can be. The meeting can get off topic, members can be allowed to drone on endlessly, side-discussions can develop, and ultimately, the objectives are not met.

A facilitator will assess each member's goals and engage the group to materialize results, prompt brainstorming, uphold critical thinking, and provide strategic planning. The facilitator expertly shapes group dynamics, and fosters personal growth through group roles. The bottom line is that a facilitator is an olympic trainer for masterminding and executive performance.

The Secret To Making Mindful Masterminding A Breeze

I've just presented a seminar titled "Brainstorming Groups Who Make House-calls" at the Lockheed Martin / Chase Bank Entrepreneur Expo in Fort Worth, Texas on March 15th. Of course, the brainstorming groups I'm talking about are mastermind groups, and they can offer the on-demand convenience of a house-call when the masterminding is an online group using a Global Online Groups collaboration space.

I demonstrated how a typical mastermind group set-up would operate in our online groups. These are not chat rooms, bulletin boards, or webinars; they are complete home-away-from-home, full featured, multi-media rich spaces where you can conduct every on ground meeting task and then some.

Masterminding online is actually better, faster, more efficient, productive, broader, and deeper. I guess you can tell I'm passionate about this. I absolutely believe in it. Ten to fifteen members in an on ground group cannot achieve the necessary knowledge, and information exchange that is required to be effective in the time alotted for a typical meeting. Being a member of an online group means you have access to your group 24/7 when you need to tap into the mastermind, and as a participant, you can respond when the brainstorm strikes and at your convenience ... maybe after you've had dinner or the kids have gone to bed.

Masterminding online with The Secret? Simply put, it will revolutionize your mindful evolution because I have the ability to add multi-media mindful techniques to promote your positive mindfulness and concentrate the fusion of thought and feeling that makes maintaining your state of mind easier.

Yoohooo! Everyone's a winner. To see a video of the seminar presentation, just log in and go to our resource area. Remember that with membership, you can create your own mastermind group from the pool of available members who are also looking for a mastermind group. Need more information about masterminding, or about how to choose your members, etc? .... Yes, all that's inside too!
